DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY PHYSIOLOGY AND BIO-CHEMISTRY

The Department of Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry was established during June 2012 and has been offering undergraduate courses since then. To its credit, the department is well equipped to cater to the needs of UG education as per Veterinary Council of India (VCI) regulations. Apart from undergraduate teaching, the department is involved in the research and extension activities.

Objectives

  • Imparting education to undergraduate students in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry
  • To formulate and carryout research projects in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry with financial assistance from the University / External funding agencies

Training Programme conducted

Science and Technology sponsored training Programme on "Management Strategies to alleviate Heat stress in cross bred Dairy cattle for sustainable dairy production" was conducted during the month of July, 2014 and March, 2015 to create awareness about the effect of heat stress on milk production for the benefit of Dairy farmers.
