The oral pellet vaccine against Newcastle disease developed is being distributed at free of cost to the farmers of the backyard poultry. The same has also been included as one of the Front-line Demonstration techniques for KVKs under ICAR. This year a total of 66,725 doses of oral pellet vaccine have been distributed through university peripheral centers and KVKs.
Training on “Morphological identification of ticks at Genus and Species level” was imparted for 5 days to participants from ICAR-NIVEDI, Bengaluru.

National Pet Parents Meet was conducted on 02.12.2020 to create awareness on Infectious Diseases of dogs and cats among pet owners through a virtual platform. A total of 243 pet parents attended from different parts of the country and got their doubts clarified on nutrition and management of infectious diseases associated with dogs and cats.
