CONTROLLERATE OF EXAMINATIONS


The Controllerate of Examinations was started as a separate unit of TANUVAS on 05.06.1996 at the TANUVAS University Headquarters building. From 23.08.2021 onwards, it is functioning at Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Arangam building at TANUVAS premises.


Objectives

  • To maintain all academic records pertaining to examinations.
  • To fix up the examination dates, examiners, verification of mark lists, result declaration
  • To prepare Report cards, Transcript Cards, Provisional Degree Certificates, Migration Certificates
  • To Co-ordinate with the Examination Committee of the University for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
  • To be responsible for performing such other duties as directed by the Vice-Chancellor



Services and functions

  • Admission of students to Undergraduate (BVSc&AH and BTech), Post graduate (MVSc, MTech, MSc), Ph.D and PG diploma programmes of TANUVAS: Notification of Admission, Application scrutiny, Preparation of Rank List and Counselling
  • Board/Semester Exam related activities: Receiving Question papers from faculty members of other Universities, Preparation of Examination Schedule, Hall Tickets, Coordinating the activities of evaluation of answer sheets, Conduct of Board of Examinations Meetings and Result Declaration
  • Preparation of Mark Sheets, Provisional Degree Certificates, Migration Certificates and Transcription cards for UG, PG, Ph.D and PG Diploma graduates
  • Coordination of activities related to evaluation of thesis submitted by PG and Ph.D scholars
  • Convocation related activities: Preparation of Graduand Book and list of students for awarding degrees, Preparation of list of students and distribution of medals, awards and endowments, Distribution of Degree Certificates and Coordination of all activities related to Convocation
  • Student Scholarship related activities: Preparation of list of eligible students for different scholarships, collection of student details and to ensure uninterrupted receipt of scholarships by students of TANUVAS
  • Certifying the degrees of students studied in TANUVAS by e-SANAD and issue of verification of certificates whenever requested by students
  • Storage of degree certificates of students graduated from TANUVAS in the National Academic Depository (NAD) Digilocker
  • Coordinating the Academic Council Meetings
  • Coordinating the Abroad Externship Training Programmes of TANUVAS
