EDUCATION

The college offers a full time undergraduate course in Veterinary and Animal Sciences with an annual intake strength of 82 students including two NRIs. Till date, in 36 batches including 2629 BVSc. & AH, students have been admitted and 2056 students from 31 batches had graduated, out of which 1619 are boys and 437 are girls. The Veterinary Council of India regulations are being followed for the undergraduate education.
Masters’ programme was started in the year 1993 and so far 411 candidates have completed their MVSc. There are 28 departments functioning at this institute, out of which 18 offer UG and 17 offer PG courses. The institute also offers 5 PG Diploma courses. The ICAR guidelines are being followed for post graduation. Doctoral programme was started in the year 1995 and 99 students have completed their Ph.D., till date in Various disciplines.
Students are being taught by dedicated teachers with commendable qualification, skill and expertise. All inclusive teaching methodologies involve systematic and superior approach with teaching aids like LCD projector, desktop computer, public address system, etc. Facilities at this institute also include eight lecture halls, three smart class rooms, two conference halls, skill development laboratory and student support cell.

HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

Special Coaching Cell

This unit helps to prepare the students for UPSC exams and ICAR JRF exams. Based on the students feedback classes from competitive authorities were arranged, preparatory guides purchased and online platform subscribed. Experts from college, handle class to students for ICAR exams. These activities performed after routine class hours.

Pharmaceutical Meet

Pharmaceutical Meet is being conducted every year by involving Veterinary Pharmaceuticals and Nutraceuticals and final year students for mutual benefit.

Clinical Meet

Clinical meet comprising veterinary clinical medicine, veterinary surgery and radiology and veterinary obstetrics and gynaecology was organised for final year students for motivation, updation of knowledge and exposure to field conditions.

English Coaching

Special class for first year students for improving communication and English skills were conducted.

MasEx Club

Student club activity started for enhancing knowledge in communication skills, soft skills, photography and videography.
