Special vaccination camps against COVID-19 are being organised continuouslyat campus for staff and their family members and students. Pre-exposure anti-rabies vaccination camps were organised for the benefit of students and staff. Standard operating procedures for control of Covid-19 is strictly followed.

Swachh Bharat Mission

Maintaining cleanliness is the essential part of healthy living. In this regard Swatch Bharat mission is being adopted meticulously at this campus to maintain cleanliness of the campus.

Plastic free campus and bio medical waste management

This campus is now free from plastic pollution and also excels in Bio Medical Waste Management. Several awareness programs for the staff and students really helped to achieve this pristine environment at this campus.

Green Campus Initiative

To improve green coverage of the campus, various tree plantation drives organised and a total of 1103 tree saplings were planted and maintained.

Karyological screening of breeding animals using short term lymphocyte culture technique
Screening for the presence of ‘FecB gene’ in farmers sheep flocks
Molecular sexing of monomorphic and dimorphic birds
Screening for the A1/A2‘β-casein gene’ in cattle population using allele specific PCR.
Paid two days training programme for Dairy entrepreueners and dairy farmers (Rs500/Head)
Training programme (21 days and three months) in dairy plant for other college students on payment basis (Rs20,000 + 18% GST/Head)
Dairy plant exposure visit for Dairy entrepreneurs and dairy farmers(Rs10/Head)
Processing of raw milk and production of various value added milk products at Dairy Plant as Dairy business incubation centre for dairy farmers and dairy entrepreneurs at the rate of One rupee per litre of milk with fuel, electricity and maintenance cost extra
 Analysing the Textural properties of value added dairy, meat products, pet food and other food products the rate of Rs.350 per sample

Alternate Energy Sources

Solar power lighting systems (10 numbers – 2 KVA) installed at various sheds of the livestock and poultry farm to reduce the electrical consumption and functioning since 2017

Observation of important days

Important days like Republic day, Independence day, National Science day, Women’s day, world zoonoses day, Environmental day, Agricultural education day, world anti-rabies day, world milk day, constitutional day, world egg day, world tuberculosis day, etc. were observed to create patriotism, solidarity and awareness about the society.
