DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY PUBLIC HEALTH AND EPIDEMIOLOGY

Department of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology, Tirunelveli was established in the year 2012 and is committed for undergraduate education and offer an effective, outreach enhanced veterinary public health service. It also has programmes for zoonosis as thrust area of research and extension.

Objectives

  • To impart value added UG education for immediate and long term application and utility
  • To develop skills to undertake epidemiological investigations and disease modelling for control and eradication of programmes for major livestock diseases of public health importance
  • To offer an effective outreach enhanced veterinary public health service
