The Department of Livestock Farm Complex (LFC) was established on 2020 as per the mandate of MSVE (2016) with the objective of providing quality education, research experience and extension education to under graduate students. To cater the above needs, the Livestock Farm complex is maintaining different species and breeds of Livestock and poultry.
As per the MSVE 2016 regulations prescribed by VCI, the department is offering the under-graduate courses on Livestock Farm Practices – 0+2 Credit hours – III Professional year of B.V.Sc. & A.H. students. In this course, Students are being trained on familiarization of breeds, identification methods of animals, dentition and age determination, housing of animals, feeding practices, poultry farm and hatchery managemental practices and other routine health care management of farm animals. Various units of Livestock Production Management (2+2)courses for the first professional year and Animal Nutrition (3+1) courses for the second Professional year are being handled by the faculty members of Livestock Farm Complex.
