Objectives

  • To impart value added UG and PG education for immediate and long term application and utility
  • To prioritize strategies and develop skills to undertake epidemiological investigations and disease modelling for control and eradication programmes for zoonoses of major public health importance
  • To make an objective analysis of contemporary issues such as antibiotic resistance
  • To support for applied research by way of technical cooperation projects
  • To offer an effective, outreach-enhanced veterinary public health service

Education

Under Graduate

  • Offered as per MSVE 2016 VPE (Unit I, Unit II, Unit III & Unit IV) - 3+1 credit hours

Post graduate courses

  • Department offers M.V.Sc., and Ph.D., in Publich Health and Epidemiology

PG Diploma (Online Mode)

This is a postgraduate diploma distance programme, delivered online with short residential sessions, directed towards career enhancement for Veterinarians, Medical professionals, Dentists, Siddha and Homeopathy professionals. Integrating scientific skill with competence, the programme has been created to address the increasing need for awareness with developed application skills to benefit the health of the whole community in general.
