Department of Food Business Management


The Department of Food Business Management was established in the year 2014, with the following Objectives:

Objectives

Education:

To provide high-quality education and training to individuals preparing for careers in food science and technology.

Research:

To conduct research in food production enterprises.

Extension:

To provide assistance to the food industries through the facilities of the college.


Education

  • Sufficient credit hours are handled to conduct practical/laboratory to provide insight to students through application of theory into practice and to develop the observational and investigative skills of students.
  • Practical evaluation process consists of practical examination with viva, written assignment and attendance.

Research and Outreach

  • The full package of entrepreneurial skills has been provided in such a way that the students are converted to job providers instead of job seekers.
  • The academia – industry meet / lectures are arranged so that experts from industry would share their experience to our students and this will create a real time awareness regarding present job scenario.
  • A study tour has been organised for third year students on September 2019 to AMUL, Gujarat to learn about the judging of Dairy products and the students participated in the quiz competition conducted there.
  • Conducted National Technology Day.

Vision

  • To establish the linkage with large and small food industries.
