The Centre functions at Gundalpatti, located at a distance of 6 kms from Dharmapuri on NH 7. The centre has the jurisdiction of Dharmapuri District.

• Strengthening livestock and poultry research – extension linkage for developing need specific technologies
• Promotion of livestock production eco-system through TANVUAS / entrepreneurs for sustaining livestock based livelihoods

• The Centre possesses a meteorological station established by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University to record daily data on temperature, rainfall, humidity and wind velocity.
