  • The Epidemiological studies on leptospirosis in cattle, buffaloes, sheep and dogs to understand the pattern of disease in different areas.
  • Brucella canis was isolated for the first time in India and its importance highlighted.
  • A study on the efficacy of BCG vaccination in calves against Tuberculosis carried out.
  • An inactivated vaccine (canine parvovirus) was produced from a local field isolate and its efficacy studied in pups in detail.
  • A detailed study on the post – exposure therapy of bovine rabies virus
  • A study on disease profile in Wild Herbivores carried out for the first time.
  • Sero-epidemiological survey of Bovine Viral Diarrhea among cattle in Tamil Nadu.
  • Study on the incidence of Toxoplasmosis in sheep.
  • Study on Bluetongue – Entomology – the role of Culicoides sp. in the transmission of Blue tongue in sheep.
  • Epidemiological studies on Toxoplasma gondi in Domestic Cats and Dogs in and around Chennai.
  • Comparative efficacy of inactivated multi component and mono-valent Poultry vaccines – A field trial.
  • Comparative Evaluation of STAT, Rose Bengal Test with i-ELISA and MRT with m-ELISA for Brucellosis which revealed that i-ELISA and m-ELISA were found to be highly sensitive tests in detecting the Brucellosis.
  • Detailed studies on the use of live and killed vaccine for ND with a vaccination schedule to Newcastle disease.
