VETERINARY UNIVERSITY TRAINING AND RESEARCH CENTRE, KRISHNAGIRI

Veterinary University Training and Research Centre, Krishnagiri was started on 20.02.2013 by our Honourable Chief Minister Dr. J. Jayalalithaa in an official function at Chennai and functions at the following address: Veterinary University Training and Research Centre, No. 1/893, HIG, TNHB Phase – II, Rayakotta Road, Krishnagirir – 635 001. This center renders services to transfer of viable technologies from the laboratory to the farming community and strives to suggest solutions to the location specific problems.

The activities will majorly aim farmers, rural women, widow, school drop outs, graduates and unemployed rural youths. Attending to disease outbreaks, examining clinical materials for proper diagnosis and aiding for control programme is the other activities of this centre. The centre also interested to investigate the disease prevalence among wild animals. It helps farmers through preparing pamphlets on updates of animal husbandry activities.
