Department of Veterinary Pathology

Department of Veterinary Pathology is dedicated to provide high quality teaching, diagnostic, and research services to the students, field veterinarians, private practitioners, poultry industry, private institutes and government research institutes within and outside the district. The department endeavours to equip the students with the latest knowledge and techniques in early disease diagnosis. Next to the teaching, conducting post mortem examination on Livestock and Poultry for academic and diagnostic purposes will be an important regular activity. Further, screening the clinical materials and histopathological sections for precisely pinpointing the causes of death and suitable remedial measures will be given accordingly. During disease outbreaks, disease investigation will be carried out in close coordination with the line departments and suitable treatment or quarantine protocols will be advised.
