COLLEGE OF POULTRY PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT, HOSUR

CPPM, Hosur involves in several extension activities for the benefit of farming community and entrepreneurs. The Poultry Farm Complex at CPPM, Hosur acts as “Model demonstration Unit” for entrepreneurs. It also acts as “Poultry Seed Production Centre” and produces and supplies quality germplasm of native chicken breeds of Aseel, Kadaknath, Chittagong, Nicobari and improved chicken varieties of Vanaraja, Gramapriya to the needy farmers and entrepreneurs of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andra Pradesh. In addition, the Institution supplies germplasm of diversified poultry species such as Japanese quail, turkey and guinea fowl to farmers. The Institution also produces and supplies TANUVAS SMART Mineral Mixture and quality poultry as well as livestock feed to various Govt. organizations and farming community.
