Objectives

To impart Undergraduate education to the students of VC&RI, Tirunelveli
To treat various obstetrical and gynaecological ailments of livestock and companion animals
To offer hands on training to UG students for clinico-gynaecological and obstetrical examination cum therapeutic management in livestock.
To provide assistance to research scholars
To execute research on field oriented issues
To offer training programmes to the farmers as a part of extension activities
To function as a referral unit for Southern districts of Tamil Nadu

Education

The Department is currently offering course on Veterinary Gynaecology, Veterinary Obstetrics and Veterinary Andrology and Reproductive Techniques as per MSVE - 2016 syllabus to the under graduate students.
