DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY PATHOLOGY


The Department of Veterinary Pathology was established at Veterinary College and Research Institute, Theni in the year 2020 with the objective to offer quality education to B.V.Sc.& A.H. undergraduate students.

Objectives

  • To impart quality education to B.V.Sc.& A.H. students
  • To undertake research activities on livestock and poultry diseases
  • To create awareness on animal diseases for field veterinarians and farmers
  • To provide quality diagnostic services on livestock and poultry diseases


EDUCATION

As per the MSVE 2016 regulations prescribed by VCI, the following course is being offered to the undergraduate students

  • II Professional Year: Veterinary Pathology (Paper I and II) – 4+2 credit hours

SERVICES RENDERED/ EXTENSION

  • Disease outbreak investigation is carried out
  • Diagnostic services including post mortem examination of livestock and poultry diseases are rendered
