The Department of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology was established with the space of 4400 Sq.ft in the year 2023 with an aim to enlighten the under graduate on application of Veterinary knowledge in protection and improvement of human well-being and also emphasizing one health approach towards handling complexities in human and animal ecosystem. lab & Entomology and Protozoology Lab which are endowed with state of the art facilities for education and research in Veterinary Parasitology to aid in diagnosis of livestock and poultry diseases. Equipment worth of Rs. 89,64,400/- was purchased for teaching of undergraduate students, research and diagnostic purpose.The department focuses on offering quality education on Veterinary Parasitology to the undergraduate students as per the MSVE’ 2016. It also renders diagnostic services to the allied departments of this college, field veterinarians and livestock and poultry farmers. Disease investigation is regularly carried out during outbreaks for diagnosis and suitable control and prevention measures are being advised for the benefit of farming communities.
