The Department is offering a course on “Veterinary Anatomy (4+3)” for the first year students of B.V.Sc & A.H. degree programme as per the MSVE 2016 regulations of VCI. The Department also offers M.V.Sc and Ph.D programmes in Veterinary Anatomy.
Histomorphological and Histochemical studies on various organs in Indian buffalo, Madras Red sheep, Japanese quails, Guinea fowl, Siruvidai Chicken and certain laboratory animals have been completed. The latest technologies in the field of Veterinary Anatomy, Viz., Immuno-histochemical, Electron microscopical studies and basic research on stem cells and computed tomography of organs are carried out in Postgraduate research.
