The college is offering undergraduate course in Veterinary and Animal Sciences faculty with annual intake strength of 80 students. So for 1507 BVSc & AH., students were graduated in 23 batches. Trimester, semester and Veterinary Council of India syllabus were followed during the periods 1985-1990, 1991-2000 and 2001-2008, respectively. From 2009-10, modified Veterinary Council of India pattern is being followed for undergraduate students. For Postgraduate and Ph.D., scholars, ICAR pattern is being followed.
M.V.Sc., programme have been started on 25.10.1993 in six departments namely Animal Nutrition, Animal Genetics, Parasitology, Pathology, Poultry Science and Veterinary Microbiology. At present 23 departments are offering postgraduate programme. So for 20 batches have been admitted with a total strength of 310 students and 251 students have completed their master degree programme in 18 batches. Doctoral programme was offered from 1995-1996 in two departments namely Poultry Science and Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension. Now, 17 departments are offering Ph.D., programme. So for, 26 candidates in the faculty of Veterinary Science and 3 candidates in the faculty of Fisheries Extension have completed the doctoral programme. To cater the needs of teaching, seven fully furnished class rooms are functioning in this college.
Six are located in the main campus and one is in the teaching Veterinary Hospital campus at Namakkal town. Fully furnished class rooms are available with LCD projector, audio visual aids like slide projector, over head projector, public address system etc.
