DODO WILDLIFE CLUB

The DODO wildlife club was started in the Veterinary College and Research Institute, Udumalpet on 25.11.2021 with the objective to impart awareness on wild life to the Under-graduate students of this College. In this regard, a meeting was convened by the Dean, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Udumalpet on 25.11.2021 for the staff and students. Dr. N.S. Manoharan FVO, Additional director of AHD, Coimbatore. delivered a guest lecture on “The Role of veterinarian in wild life”.
A co-ordination committee for the DODO Wild life club also was formed with Dr. P.Kumaravel as Chairman, Dr.C.Theophilus Anand Kumar as Coordinator, Dr.Arthanari Eswaran as Co- Coordinator and Mr. R.K.Yokesh and Ms. Soumiya as Student’s Co-ordinators along with interested staff and students as members of the club. The future agenda of the club comprised of trekking to the nearby Sathyamangalam tiger, Anaimalai and Mudumalai sanctuaries and active participation of the staff and students in the wild animal welfare, census and disease investigation activities in such sanctuaries.


Vet Brain Educational Lecture Series

Vet brain educational lecture series was started in the Veterinary College and Research Institute, Udumalpet – 642 126 with the objective to deliver series of guest lectures related to Veterinary science, Animal science and Animal Husbandry for the students. This Guest lecture being organised every alternate Thursday between 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The various subject matter specialists and experts from across the state as well as from abroad are invited to deliver guest lecture on their specialization.
