DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY EXTENSION EDUCATION

The Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education was established in the year 2023 with an aim to teach under-graduate students in the aspect of extension education, sociology, rural development, livestock economics, marketing, business management, livestock entrepreneurship and transfer of scientific know-how to the farming community.

Objectives

To offer under-graduate courses in veterinary and animal husbandry extension
To undertake field-oriented research in veterinary and animal husbandry extension
To organise various extension programmes on livestock and poultry enterprises for the benefit of farming community

Education

As per the MSVE 2016 regulations prescribed by VCI, the department is offering the VAE – Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education (3+1) to the III Professional Year – B.V. Sc& A.H. students.
