DEPARTMENT OF LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

The Department of Livestock Production Management was established in the year 2020. Various restraining and handling equipment of livestock and poultry, miniature livestock models, different animal housing models, body points of livestock, various livestock and Poultry breed charts and fodder crop cultivation practices charts have been prepared and displayed for easy understanding of the students and farmers.

Objectives

Offering undergraduate course for B.V.Sc & AH students in Livestock Production Management
To carry out research on livestock and poultry farming systems to augment the productivity
Popularizing scientific livestock and poultry farming practices to uplift the livelihood of farming community

Education

The Course, Livestock Production Management - 4+2 is being offered by this department to the undergraduate students during first professional year.

Different types of charts depicting various information about cattle, buffalo, sheep, goat, horse, pig, laboratory animals, wild animals and fodder crop cultivation practices

Miniature livestock models (Cattle, Horse, Goat and Pig)
Charts of different poultry breeds and body parts of poultry
Model of different poultry cages and environmentally controlled poultry house
