Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology


Objectives

  • To impart Undergraduate and Postgraduate education to the students of VCRI, Namakkal.
  • To provide surgical treatment to sick animals and to train UG’s and PG’s in management of clinical cases.
  • To offer guidance to research students.
  • To provide information to the animal owners in prevention and management of sick animals by way of extension activities.
  • To function as a referral unit for the neighbouring districts of Namakkal.

Education

As per Veterinary Council of India under MSVE Regulations (2016), Courses are offered for both Undergraduate and Post Graduate degree Programme.

Units

The Department offers a course on "Veterinary Surgery and Radiology" for the students undergoing B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree programme, as per Veterinary Council of India under MSVE Regulations (2016). The Department, also, offers M.V.Sc., and Ph.D., degree programmes in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, as per ICAR common sylabi.
