DEPARTMENT OF DAIRY ENGINEERING


The Department of Dairy Engineering was initiated in the year 2019 to specifically deal with the production and processing of milk and milk products. At the time of inception, the department was mainly engaged in Under Graduate and Post Graduate teaching programme formulated by ICAR.

Objectives

Education:

To impart education in milk and milk products process engineering for Undergraduate students.

Research:

To conduct research on development of dairy based engineering equipments

Extension:

To conduct training programmes and demonstrations on milk and milk products processing equipments / machineries to the farmers, entrepreneurs, rural youths and Self Help group women.

Education

As per the ICAR recommendation, the Department is currently offering the courses to:

B.Tech. Dairy Technology Students, for a total instructional credit of 40 (24+16).
